1TB flash drive unveiled by Kingston, World’s largest capacity USB


Kingston unveiled the first ever 1TB flash drive called DataTraveler 'HyperX Predator,' a finger like drive with impressive capacity of 1,024 GB that can now fit in your pocket, according to Inquisitr site.


Hyperx Predator has read/write speeds as fast as 240MB/s and 160MB/s, a very fast for a small flash drive. And with the size of 2.84" x 1.06" x 0.82" making possible to fit in your pocket.

“Our new DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0 allows users to store their entire digital world on a portable USB 3.0 Flash drive,” Andrew Ewing, Flash memory business manager, Kingston, was quoted in the report, with the device also to be made available at 32GB and 64GB versions.

“The large capacity and fast USB 3.0 transfer speeds allow users to save time as they can access, edit and transfer applications or files such as HD movies directly from the drive without any performance lag,” Ewing added. The 512GB version of this USB is now available, but the 1TB flash drive will be available at Q1 2013.

DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0, is the world’s largest-capacity USB 3.0 flash drive.

The company hasn’t announced the price of their 1TB flash drive yet but the 512GB version is currently available for $1750.
