BUREAU OF CORRECTIONS CHIEF OFF THE HOOK IN LEVISTE CAPER

THE Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday said that Director Ernesto Diokno of the Bureau of Corrections will not anymore be among those persons to be charged criminally in connection with allegedly special treatment given to former Gov. Antonio Leviste of Batangas at the New Bilibid Prisons (NBP).

According to Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, only one person, whom she did not name, would be charged criminally and administratively over the Leviste caper. [ FULL STORY ]
