FOR hearing the two impeachment complaints, the chairman of the House committee on justice yesterday accused Ombudsman Ma. Merceditas Gutierrez of getting back at his family after the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) denied Wednesday the motion for reconsideration of his father in connection with the graft case pending before the Sandiganbayan First Division.In an interview, Iloilo Rep. Niel Tupas questioned the timing of the resolution denying the May 3, 2010 motion for reconsideration of his father, former Iloilo Gov. Niel Tupas, Sr. on the graft case before the Sandiganbayan which stemmed from the latter’s decision granting a quarry permit to an unqualified private contractor who was allegedly acting as dummy for another company.
