PAGASA Weather Update August 7, 2012


"Moderate to heavy rains is expected to occur over the entire western section of Luzon (Pangasinan, Zambales down south to Batangas and Mindoro including the NCR and Panay Island," weather expert said on PAGASA this Tuesday.

And due to non-stop rainfalls, floods all over Metro Manila is going up, even dams are now on it's peak of spilling level that made people around the areas of the dam (specifically Marikina dam and Lamessa dam) for a force evacuation.

PAGASA weather bulletin posted as of 5:00 a.m., "At 2:00 p.m. today, the Shallow Low Pressure Area (SLPA) was estimated at about 770 km East of Northern Luzon (17.7°N 130.0°E). Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas. "

PAGASA has issued a red alert warning over Metro Manila as heavy rains flooded many areas. 

PAGASA also advised that small fishing boats and vesels should not sail out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.

Meanwhile, death toll rises due to continues heavy rainfalls after Typhoon Gener left the country towards Taiwan. A total of  51 people are now declared dead by  National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
