MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will provide free rides to students going to the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City for the scheduled college admission tests on Aug. 4 (Saturday) and Aug. 5 (Sunday).
The two meetup places for the free rides, dubbed as "MMDA – UPCAT Libreng Hatid"--will be at EDSA-East Avenue, in front of the DILG Building and at C5 – Ortigas Ilalim near the MMDA Rescue Station.
MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino said the free rides are intended to transport the UP hopefuls conveniently to the state university, particularly those coming from nearby provinces such as Rizal and Cavite.
Scheduled departure times at the DILG Building and C-5-Ortigas meet-up places for the libreng hatid program are 4:30 a.m., 5 a.m., 5:30 a.m., and 6 a.m.
Tolentino advised the examinees to come on time as there will only be limited seats per trip.
