With more heavy rains expected to pour on Metro Manila and Central Luzon, the suspension of classes initially covered the pre-school, elementary and high school levels.

Tertiary level suspension of classes had been left to the jurisdiction of the colleges and universities by the CHED but Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda thru social networking site Twitter, tweeted that classes in all college levels in NCR have been officially suspended as well just before midnight on Tuesday.

"Upon the recommendation of NDRRMC, Executive Secretary Jojo Ochoa has declared the suspension at the tertiary level in NCR" (via @govph, @dawende).
