MalacaƱang declared yesterday that President Aquino has the prerogative to either adopt in full the recommendation of Vice President Jejomar Binay to bury the remains of the late President Ferdinand Marcos in Ilocos Norte, or modify it if he so decides.
“It is in his (Aquino’s) power to modify it or adopt it in toto,” deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte told government-run radio dzRB, although she refused to disclose the contents of Binay’s recommendations, saying “we were not given a copy.” [ FULL STORY ]
