DEPASUPIL REPORTER  EVEN if it wanted to stop it, the PNP admitted that it is helpless against prank calls, which comprised 98 percent of calls it received on its emergency hotline 117 and through text messages, following the Makati City bus bombing last week that left five people dead and 13 others injured.The PNP chief, Director General Raul Bacalzo, on Wednesday appealed to the public to support the police in its anti-prankster drive even as he vowed to apply the full force of the law against persons behind prank calls, falls bomb threats, and circulation of scare text messages.  |
