Palace: January 15, 16, and 19 are special nonworking in NCR during Pope visit


The Philippine national government through President Noynoy Aquino has declared January 15, 16 and 19 as Special Non-Working Days throughout National Capital Region due to the visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines. The confirmation of the declaration was announced to the media on Monday, December 22, 2014.


Proclamation 936, signed Tuesday, December 23 by Executive Secretary Pacquito Ochoa, declared January 15, 16 and 19 as holidays for workers in these days, but additional 30 percent of the daily rate of incoming work also.
