Puerto Rico stays alive after beating the Philippines, 77-73 Gilas Pilipinas bow out of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Wednesday in Seville, Spain.

Without Carlos Arroyo and AD Vassallo, Puerto Rico suffered in the first half of the game and stormed back in the second.

JJ Barea was decisive in the final minutes with a great layup who gave Puerto Rico the decisive lead.

JJ Barea paced Puerto Rico with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists while Sanchez and Huertas added 13 each.

Andray Blatche had 25 points and 14 boards for Smart Gilas, Tenorio added 18 points and Dalistan had 10.
