Once upon a time, Danny Seigle was the most exciting player in the PBA. And every once in a while, he still flashes his dynamite explosiveness to the delight of fans. In Barako Bull’s match Sunday against GlobalPort, Seigle turned back the clock by dunking over 6-foot-11 Batang Pier import Justin Williams. After the game, Seigle was nonchalant about his highlight play.
“If it’s there, it’s there. I don’t think about those things at this time,” he said.
Age and injuries have robbed Seigle the athleticism of his younger days, but he said he is still ready to contribute — as long as his body holds up.
“The most important thing is to stay healthy,” said Seigle, who missed a couple of weeks of Barako Bull practice prior to the Commissioner’s Cup to rest his injuries.
