MANILA, Philippines – Regine Velasquez marked her 25th year in show business via the aptly titled concert "Silver" at the SM MOA Arena yesterday night (November 16) but it rained on her parade.
The singer "lost" her voice, straining to reach the high notes even before the middle of the concert. "Regine Velasquez loses voice during Silver concert, offers free concert for ticket holders," Julius Babao tweeted.
Some celebrities showed an outpouring of sympathy seeing how the singer-actress struggled to perfect her songs. TV host Kris Aquino offered that a 'virus' had ill-affected Regine's voice. "Regine said it was a virus she caught but promised the fans in MOA a repeat so that in her words they could see the show they deserve," she tweeted.
Not one to shortchange her audience, Regine promised to all 'Silver' concert ticketholders that she will mount a free concert for them at the same venue. @bigbadbawang said, "@reginevalcasid announces that she VOWS to repeat the concert for FREE for all the fans! That is CLASS!"
