After 1-4 Start, Lakers fire coach Mike Brown (VIDEO)


Los Angeles Lakers sinibak ni team's owner Jim Buss si coach Mike Brown in the poor 1-4 start in this young 2012-2013 NBA season.


Sa panayam kay Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak sabi ang desisyon ay ginawa sa open for suggetions ng mga veterano sa team at Sinabi niya isa itong mahirap na desisyon sa kanilang koponan.

Assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff will take over as interim coach sa pagharap nila mamaya ng Golden State Warriors.

There have been speculations also that retired coach Phil Jackson will return to Lakers bench as he still remains the ideal choice by Lakers’ front office.

Kahit sinibak Nagpapasalamat pa rin si Mike Brown sa koponan sa ibinigay na oportunidad.

"I have great respect for the Buss family and the Lakers' storied tradition and I thank them for the opportunity they afforded me," ani Brown. "I have a deep appreciation for the coaches and players that I worked with this past year and I wish the organization nothing but success as they move forward."

Si Brown ay dating coach ng Cleveland Cavaliers at ni LeBron James kung saan umabot sa 2007 NBA finals ang koponan.

Tinanghal itong coach of the year noong 2009 subalit sinibak din sa Cleveland dahil sa kabiguang mabigyan ng championship title ang Cavaliers. (Reuters)
