NBA star Michael Jordan is dead, according to a viral Facebook post.
It reads: "A spokesperson from National Basketball Association (NBA) has confirmed that MICHAEL JORDAN died because of severe broken legs in a practice play for an exhibition game with Kobe Bryant.
He has been transported via ambulance to a local NY hospital for treatment, and the full extent of his injuries are not known at this time. Watch the original practice video from NBA and their effort to save Michael Jordan."
The phony post ends with a link to an app. A photo of the legendary NBA player is also attached to it.
What is written on the Facebook post is of course not true. Michael Jordan is alive and well. In fact, he was spotted in several events since after the post went viral Saturday afternoon. And there are no reports about this big news in trusted news agencies like CNN, BBC, AP, etc.
