Matapos makuha suhestyon ng operators at traffic district heads sa buong Metro Manila, inilabas na ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang mas pinahigpit na batas-trapiko sa EDSA.
Alinsunod dito, pasok pa rin dapat sa yellow lane ang lahat ng city buses at hindi puwedeng dumaan sa underpass at tunnel ang parehong city at provincial buses. Pinapayagan naman lahat na gumamit ng Magallanes flyover.
Provincial Buses
Para sa provincial buses, pwede nang umakyat ng flyover at gamitin ang third lane ng EDSA. Pero hihigpitan ang pagsasakay at pagbababa ng mga pasahero ng provincial bus, maliban sa otorisadong bus stops sa northbound at southbound.

City Buses
Sa city buses naman, first in-first out pa rin ang dispatching mula sa organized bus route terminals. Hindi dapat sumobra sa 20 segundo ang paghinto sa A and B bus stops. Maaaring gamitin ng pa-north bound na mga bus ang Ortigas flyover.
Private Vehicles
Sa private vehicles naman, maaari lang pumasok ng bus lanes kung kakanan sa side roads ng EDSA o lalabas mula sa side roads patungong EDSA. Maaaring magbaba at magsakay ng pasahero sa loob ng bus lane, pero 50 meters dapat ang layo sa intersection at sa loob lang ng 15 segundo.

Mas bibigatan din ngayon ng MMDA ang parusa sa mga paglabag.
- Loading/Unloading in areas not specified as Loading and Unloading Zone- Fine: Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00)
- Failure to keep the Door/s closed in between designated stops- FINE: One Thousand Pesos (Php 1, 000.00) - For buses with only 1 door – Driver will pay the fine - For buses with 2 doors – front door open- driver will pay the fine - Back door open- conductor will pay the fine
- For buses with defective door- FINE: One Thousand Pesos (Php 1,000.00) payable by the owner.
- Private vehicles and taxis with passengers inside the bus (yellow) lanes except as provided in 3.0 of this MC- FINE: Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) for violation of bus (yellow) lanes.
- PUBs outside the designated bus (yellow) lanes- FINE: Two Hundred Pesos (Php 200.00) for violation of bus (yellow) lanes.
- Violaton of Bus Segregation Scheme- FINE: One Thousand Pesos (Php 1,000.00)
- Abrupt Change of Lane (Reckless Driving) – FINE: Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00)
