Filipino nursing graduates who have yet to take the nursing board exams may now have the chance to do so in the Kingdom.
The Philippine Nurses Association’s (PNA) eastern region chapter is now preparing to conduct the first-ever nursing board exams in Saudi Arabia sometime this year.
“I was surprised na maraming nag-inquire sa akin, through our Facebook account and through mobile, na marami pala ditong nurses na gustong kumuha ng nurses’ examination,” said PNA Eastern Region Chapter President Mary Jane Tupas.
One of those who will benefit from the nursing board exams if it pushes through is Al Khobar assistant nurse, Jennibee Santiago.
Santiago graduated from nursing in 2008 but has yet to take the board exams.
“Magandang balita yun kasi magkakaroon na ng pagkakataon na makapag-take kami ng board exam dito so hindi na namin kailangang gumastos pa ng pamasahe para umuwi ng Pilipinas. Sana matuloy yun, matupad yun,” said Santiago.
Like Santiago, assistant nurse Jimi Rose Nitura was also happy with the news. If given the chance, the board exams in the kingdom would be her second.
“Natutuwa po ako if ever na magkakaroon po ng board exams dito sa Saudi kasi po nag-take po ako last December pero di po ako pinalad. If God’s will, baka dito po ako papasa,” Nitura said.
