Pregnant Women Urged to Avail of Free Pre-natal Care Services



Source PIA - To avoid complications and other diseases during pregnancy, the city government here through its City Health Office (CHO) has called on pregnant women to regularly visit the health centers for pre-natal checkups.

Public health centers provide free pre-natal care, medicines and vitamin supplements to pregnant women.

According to CHO personnel, pregnant women who do not undergo pre-natal checkup are likely to suffer complications and other problems that go with pregnancy.

Expectant mothers are also advised to deliver their babies in hospitals or birthing homes where professional medical workers can attend to them.

Philhealth members and their legitimate dependents can avail themselves of free medical services in hospitals and/or birthing homes.
