By Francis Earl A. Cueto, Correspondent  THE DFA is expecting Filipino casualties in the magnitude 8.9 earthquake and tsunami that hit northeast Japan on Friday last week. Foreign Affairs spokesman Ed Malaya on Monday said that with a huge number of people missing, there are bound to be Filipinos among them.He added that there is a consular team now in Sendai, one of the hardest-hit areas, trying to coordinate moves to ensure safety of Filipinos there.  |
