PASAY CITY, Philippines - A number of people injured at least 34 people after a MRT train had gone out of control this afternoon Wednesday, August 13 in Taft Avenue Station.
According to LRTA Spokesman Atty. Hernando Cabrera, the defective train was disengaged from the coupling and slammed into the steel barrier.
Latest media reports say 21 injured commuters were rushed to the Pasay City General Hospital, 10 to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, and 3 to the Adventist Medical Center.
Several were wounded while three passengers reportedly suffered leg fractures during the MRT crash in Pasay.
