Draw Results for the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship for Men. The third edition of the youth tournament will take place from August 8 to 16, 2014 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is the first time a FIBA World Championship - senior or junior - is staged in the Middle East.
The FIBA U17 World Championship is where the stars of tomorrow are born. The 16 teams from across FIBA's five zones that will compete in the tournament are: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Spain, UAE and USA. Seven teams will be making their debut at the U17 world championship level, including the host nation.
This ensures the event will be a momentous occasion for the UAE and for the development of basketball in the region.
