Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson believes the generosity of boxing champ and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao is one of the reasons behind his current financial and tax troubles.

As Pacquiao’s friend and mentor, Singson said he has seen first-hand the boxer’s lack of proper financial management, lamenting that the “Pacman” is too kind and generous to his sizable entourage.
“Matagal ko nang sinasabi sa kanya ‘yan, kaso ang iba nagte-take advantage lang sa kanya,” said Singson, insisting that he has repeatedly advised Pacquiao about money.
