MANILA, Philippines -- Some local governments in Metro Manila and nearby areas have announced suspension of classes on February 22, 2013 due to bad weather.
MANILA: "Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim announced the suspension of classes on all levels in the city’s public schools, adding that similar suspensions in private institutions were up to the discretion of school administrators. "
The following private schools announced suspensions:
- Lyceum of the Philippines – All Levels
- St. Scholastica’s College Manila – All Levels
- Miriam College – Pre-school and grade school classes
- Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
- Philippine Women University (PWU) – All levels
- University of Sto. Tomas – All levels
- Adamson University – All Levels, including works and offices
- Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Sta. Mesa)
- San Beda College
- Arellano University

TAYTAY, RIZAL: Afternoon classes in elementary, both public and private, are suspended.
