Apple has officially unveiled the iPad mini at today's press event, a smaller and cheaper version of the popular iPad tablet computer.
The iPad mini will be available for pre-order starting October 26, the same day Microsoft launches Windows 8 and the Surface tablet. The iPad Mini Wi-Fi only version starts shipping on November 2.
