A Stephon Marbury statue was unveiled on the lawn of the MasterCard Center where the Beijing Ducks won their first ever CBA championship



The former NBA All-Star, Stephon Marbury who previously played for the Minnesota Timberwolves made a name for himself in a foreign country wherein he was instrumental for the first ever championship of a Chinese Team, Biejing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association.
Due to his effort and leadership of giving the Biejing Ducks their first ever title in the CBA, the management of the Chinese Team made a special recognition to Stephon Marbury by giving him a rare bronze statue which was unveiled on Sunday, May 13, 2012.
Stephon Marbury was so grateful with full support given to him by the fans and management of the Beijing Ducks. His family and friends from the United States travelled to Biejing to witness the ceremony of unveiling the bronze statue of Stephon Marbury.
The former NBA All-Star who was previously playing alongside with Kevin Garnet during their Minnesota days. The point guard who averaged  45 points per game during the Shanxi series. He was able to give the championship to the Ducks deposing the  7-time champion Guangdong Southern Tigers.
