The OFWDSP offers financial assistance to qualified dependents of active OWWA member OFWs who have a monthly salary of not more than US$400 as per valid work contract, according to OWWA-RWO1 Labor Communications Officer Amapola Z. Villar.

No qualifying exam is needed to avail of the program as long as the applicant passes the entrance exam of the receiving school.

Once the complete documentary requirements are submitted and evaluated, eligible applicants can enroll in any four to five-year baccalaureate course or associate degree in a state college or university of their choice within Region 1 only.

Villar encouraged applicants to submit their applications on or before June 30, 2012 at OWWA RWOI located at the Ground Floor of Zambrano Building, City of San Fernando, La Union. (ANL/MPA-PIA1 La Union)
