Morales 'little fella' Mayweather was talking about


ARCADIA, California – Bob Arum yesterday pulled the plug on Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather in May.

He said they got “into the bottom of it” and what they learned was that Pacquiao is not the “little fella” being talked about.

It’s Erik Morales. Yes, Erik Morales. That’s what Arum said.

“You know who the little fellow that they already approached? It’s Erik Morales,” Arum said even without being asked.

“And Erik will confirm it – absolutely. Erik has been approached to make the fight. He’ll take it for the money. I’m sure he’ll take it for the money. Why wouldn’t he?” Arum asked.

There was a horse race going on at the Santa Anita Park, some 18 miles away from Hollywood, when Arum broke the news that Mayweather is eyeing Morales as his next opponent.

Arum was at the scenic park for what was supposed to be a public workout for Juan Manuel Marquez, who’s all set to face Pacquiao on Nov. 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There’s so much interest in the coming fight, the third between Pacquiao and Marquez, but somehow Mayweather’s camp managed to draw some attention.
