This was part of a program launched by SSS to widen its coverage in the Middle East and Europe, where many Filipino workers are based.
“Ang kagandahan ng SSS programs, pamula ng first contribution niya ay may SSS protection program na kaagad siya at habang dumarami ang kontribusyon niya lalong dumarami ang benepisyo at kapag nag-retire na,” SSS president and CEO Emilio De Quiros Jr. told OFWs in an event held at the Philippine Embassy in Rome.
The event was capped with a “Kapihan” and a forum among Filipino communities in Rome, Napoli and Salerno.
De Quiros explained the program services of SSS, citing the various benefits and privileges and corresponding responsibilities of OFWs as SSS members.
