UNCLAIMED lotto prizes amounting to about P848 million were not placed in the fund pool of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Commission on Audit chairperson Fidela Tan yesterday told the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
The “failure” to transfer to the PCSO fund pool around P848 million in unclaimed prize money in 2007 and 2008 violated Republic Act 1169, as amended by Batas Pambansa 42 and Presidential Decree 1157.
