NENE DARES MIGS TO RESIGN BUT ZUBIRI 'SWEARS' NO KNOWLEDGE OF 2007 POLL FRAUD

Former senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr. on Thursday called on Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri to resign following the revelations of suspended Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao governor Zaldy Ampatuan and former Maguindanao election supervisor Lintang Bedol about the electoral fraud that happened in the Mindanao province during the 2007 elections.

However, Zubiri, who is said to have benefited from the rigged polls, swore he had no knowledge of any manipulation of the elections and said he was as much a victim as Pimentel’s son, Aquilino “Koko” III, who lost the 12th Senate seat up for grabs to Zubiri.
