WPA World Eight-ball champ Dennis Orcollo kept the Philippine flag aloft in the $275,000 2011 China Open 9-ball tournament by advancing to the round-of-32 of the star-studded tournament being played at the cavernous Shanghai Pudong Yuanshen Stadium in suburban Shanghai.
Orcollo advanced with a 9-2 beating of Chinese-Taipei’s Chao Fong Pang late Friday. He will take on another familiar face in world pool, Corey Duel of the US, who barely escaped past Japan’s Kenichi Uchigaki, 9-8. [ FULL STORY ]
