Mark Isip scored 28 points in 29 minutes and delivered a lot of clutch baskets in the stretch on Sunday night as walking wounded Meralco posted the first upset in the season-ending PBA Governors Cup, a 105-100 defeat of mighty Petron at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Isip came off the bench and practically carried the B-Boys in the rough stretches, scoring 10 of his total in the final period as Meralco, which played without its leading local scorer and best point guard, extended the Boosters’ woes dating back to last conference when it played as San Miguel.
