Brunei Darussalam has expressed interest in importing halal food from the Philippines, along with sugar, corn and cacao, President Benigno Aquino III said on Thursday upon his arrival from his two-day state visit to the Southeast Asian Muslim country.
Aquino, in his arrival statement, said there is a big global market for halal food, a dish prepared according to Muslim laws and tradition, and penetrating the market as soon as possible will make the Philippine economy grow. [ FULL STORY ]
