MALACAÑANG has hung former Gov. Leviste of Batangas out to dry, practically calling him a liar. It in the process seemed to have cleared prison officials of liability in Leviste recently having a run of the national penitentiary.
Apparently trying to project himself as an environmental activist, Leviste, 71, on Monday said that President Benigno Aquino 3rd knew about his tree-planting activities inside the National Bilibid Prisons (NBP) in Muntinlupa City (Metro Manila).
