The country remains safe from harmful radiation even if Japan has already raised the radioactivity alert to level 5 at its nuclear plant in Fukushima, which had been badly damaged by the powerful earthquake and tsunami last March 11, Malacañang said yesterday.“We have seen the PNRI (Philippine Nuclear Research Institute) doing constant updates to the public on the developments in relation to the nuclear situation in Japan,” deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said.
