Hometown Girl Ready to Play the Big Stage

Many of the musicians who made Austin famous, from Willie Nelson to Stevie Ray Vaughan, were drawn to our city from other parts of Texas, some even from out of state. But Suzanna Choffel is a born and raised Austinite (and former SXSW volunteer) who will take to the Auditorium Shores Stage at 6pm Friday to kick off another great night of free music.

Suzanna will introduce the crowd to songs from her forthcoming sophomore album, “Steady Eye Shaky Bow,” slated for a May release. Head to the shores of Lady Bird Lake on Friday to enjoy Suzanna’s indie-soul-pop plus the music of Bowling for Soup and headliners Blue October. And look for the sxswcares.org table inside the gates so you can donate to the American Red Cross for Japan Tsunami relief.
