Tamayo, Journal Online  DEEPLY hurt that the Commission on Audit had apparently “abandoned her,” former state auditor-turned-whistleblower Heidi Mendoza yesterday appealed to the Senate to drop her as a witness in its probe into the alleged corruption in the military.Mendoza was supposed to be the last resource person to be asked concerning the reported misuse of military funds at yesterday’s resumption of the Senate hearing on the budget scandal in the Armed Forces but she begged off after learning that CoA held a press conference denying her allegation that some government auditors “can be bribed.”  |
