THE late former Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Angelo Reyes did not abandon former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada when he was ousted by people power in January 2001 for allegedly massive graft and corruption.“He [Reyes] did not abandon Estrada. I know it,” another former military chief, Gen. Dionisio Santiago, said during an exlusive roundtable with reporters and editors of The Manila Times on Monday.
