A STAR-RANK officer, also a former executive assistant to then Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Roy Cimatu, admitted that he had received millions of pesos from now retired Lt. Col. George Rabusa but the money was used solely for the “operations and administrative functions” of Cimatu’s office.
Brig. Gen. Benito de Leon told a Senate blue ribbon committee hearing on Friday that Rabusa gave him P10 million in cash on several occasions during Cimatu’s four-month stint as Armed Forces chief in 2002.
