CA UPHOLDS 57 COUNTS OF MURDER VS AMPATUAN

ampatuan srThe Court of Appeals (CA) has upheld the indictment of former Maguindanao Gov. Andal Ampatuan Sr. for 57 counts of murder in connection with the infamous Maguindanao massacre.

Lawyer Harry Roque, the private counsel for relatives of 15 media victims in the massacre, welcomed the CA ruling as it would pave the way for the Ampatuan patriarch’s arraignment, which has been postponed several times due to the pendency of his petition filed with the appellate court.
