Moto X 2nd Gen 2014 Review - Mobiletechreview

Lisa Gade reviews the second generation Moto X (2014) Android smartphone. The new Moto X leaves midrange territory and goes for flagship status. It has a 1920 x 1080 full HD AMOLED 5.2" display that’s very colorful and a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core CPU with Adreno 330 graphics. The phone has 2 gigs of RAM and 16 or 32 gigs of internal storage, but no microSD card slot. The Moto X has Moto’s lovely voice and motion actions, but it’s otherwise a clean Android 4.4 KitKat UI experience.

The phone has LTE 4G, dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. It has a front 2MP camera and a rear 13MP camera with a ring LED flash that surrounds the lens. The 2300 mAh battery is sealed inside and the phone uses a nano SIM. It’s available as a GSM unlocked phone for $499 and via AT&T and Verizon in the US for $99 with 2 year contract or $499 to $450 depending on carrier and back materials.
