Asian Games: Boxer Charly Suarez picked up a silver medal after falling short against Mongolia

Philippine boxing bet Charly Suarez picked up a silver medal after falling short against Mongolia’s Otgondalai Dorjnyambuu in the men’s lightweight (60 kg) final of the 2014 Asian Games boxing tournament in Incheon, Korea.

Suarez won a 30-27 on the scorecard of the judge from Kazakhstan but the judges from Argentina and Italy both saw it, 29-28, for Dorjnyambuu.

The boxer gave the country its third silver medal of the games Daniel Parantac and Jean Claude Saclag, both in Wushu.

Boxing has produced four medals in Incheon with Olympian Mark Anthony Barriga (men’s light flyweight), Mario Fernandez (men’s bantamweight) and Wilfredo Lopez (men’s middleweight) all notching bronzes. Source AFP
