Philippine national men’s basketball team captain Jimmy Alapag and comebacking naturalized player Marcus Douthit admitted to having “unfinished business” to settle on the Asian basketball level as they both return to boost the country’s quest for the gold medal in the upcoming Incheon Asian Games.
Both players played key roles in Gilas Pilipinas’ stellar silver medal finish in the FIBA Asia Championships last year but Douthit was not able to finish the tournament, missing the title game with an injury.
“We have unfinished business together, considering how well things went last year. I know for a fact that things would have been different in the gold medal game against Iran if he was healthy,” Alapag told InterAksyon.com in an exclusive interview.
