Actress Claudine Barretto is not dead, a rumors started spreading on social media websites that the formet Kapamilya star has died of drug overdose.
Atty. Ferdinand Topacio told on DZMM said he has enlisted the help of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) Cybercrime Unit to deal with rumor.

"May nag-tweet pa sa akin ng link ng notice nga daw na may logo pa ng ABS-CBN... May litrato ni Claudine doon... Nakalagay, 'Claudine Barretto, 1979-2014,'" said the lawyer.
"Malisyosong spam 'to. Di 'to nakakatuwang joke.. It's a cruel joke. Huwag naman sanang ganito. 'Yung mga taong may galit kay Claudine, huwag naman sana ganito," said Topacio.
"Alam niyo ba, may isang fan pa si Claudine, si Ate Virgie 'yung tawag nila doon, na inatake sa puso dahil akala niya totoo. Kaya nakakaperwisyo talaga," he added.
Raymart Santiago her estranged husband last year accused Barretto of using illegal drugs, and even claimed his wife's alleged drug use on video.
