Ang ilang mga lokal na yunit ng gobyerno in Visayas on Tuesday have declared suspension of classes on October 16, 2013.
The first LGU to announce class suspensions is Cebu City. According to a Twitter post of the Philippine Information Agency (@PIACentralViz) in Central Visayas, Cebu City mayor Mike Rama declared no classes in all public and private schools on Wednesday.
Update: Below are the areas with class suspensions on October 16, according to the Department of Education (DepEd):
- Province of Cebu - All levels, public and private
- Cebu City - All levels, public and private
- Bohol - All levels, public and private
- Siquijor - All levels, public and private
- Dumaguete City - All levels, public and private
- Iloilo City - All levels, public and private
- La Carlota City - All levels, public and private
