The regular season was about the Miami Heat taking care of business early so they could relax before the start of the playoffs.
Now, the Heat are using the same mentality in the postseason as opportunity to gain even more rest.
They defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 88-77 Sunday at Bradley Center to close out their first-round series in four games. The victory means the Heat will at least have a few off days before facing the Chicago Bulls or Brooklyn Nets in the second round.
It marked the first time this Heat team was able to sweep an opponent in the postseason. They had opportunity in each of the last two seasons only to lose Game 4. This time, there would be no letdown. The Heat never trailed against the Bucks, closing with yet another strong fourth quarter.
In the absence of Dwyane Wade, who sat out because of a sore knee, LeBron James scored a game-high 30 points. Guard Ray Allen also had another solid game off the bench, finishing with 16 points.
