MANILA, Philippines - A girl died after she was attacked by a dog in Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City on Monday. The victim, 9-year-old Marian Gonzales, was bitten in the face by a mixed breed dog owned by Pasonanca chairman Jun Julian.
According to Marian's mother, Mardelyn, her daughter was on her way home when she was attacked by the dog. The victim also fell into a canal during the attack.
The dog owner promised financial assistance to the victim's family.
