15 Distressed OFWs Arrive From Dubai

Fifteen distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Dubai have arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 after Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and Senator Jinggoy Estrada shouldered their airfare.

Most of them were victims of abuse and were underpaid.

Around 26 OFWs were originally scheduled for repatriation but only 15 were able to travel because the others weren’t able to secure their exit visas in time.

OWAA shouldered airfares for 6 while 20 were paid for by Estrada.
The remaining 11 are due to arrive in the coming days.
