Heat hold off late Thunder charge again, take 2-1 Finals lead

The Miami Heat relied on its star trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh to fend off a late rally by the Oklahoma City Thunder and hold on for a 91-85 victory in Game Three of the NBA Finals in Miami.

The three players scored the final 15 points of the game for the Heat, which took a 2-1 series lead against the young Thunder.

James continued his brilliant run in the playoffs, leading all players in scoring and rebounding with 29 and 14. Wade added 25 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, while Bosh chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Beyond his offense, James took on the task of defending Kevin Durant, who scored 25 points but missed a crucial basket late that would have tied the game.

The Thunder had cut the Miami lead to a single point, 86-85, on a jumper by Russell Westbrook with 1:30 left. But the Heat kept the Oklahoma City scoreless the rest of the way to preserve the win.
