The Filipina mistress of a prominent attorney here in Texas testified this week that she hired at least four hit men last year to kill her lover’s socialite wife.
At the trial of a high-profile murder-for-hire case that opened Monday, Assistant Harris County District Attorney Kari Allen said Michelle Cabrera Gaiser has agreed to plead guilty to solicitation of capital murder with a jail sentence capped at 25 years.
A Filipino national, Gaiser has also had a hold placed on her by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“I made a mistake,” a sobbing Gaiser told a jury Tuesday.
“Not a day goes by that I don’t feel bad for what I’ve done. I feel bad for all the people I’ve hurt.”
Gaiser, 38, was testifying against Damian Ricardo Flores, accused of carrying out one of three attempts on the life of Yvonne Stern, whom Gaiser wanted out of the love triangle.
She admitted to having several conversations orchestrating the murder scheme.
