DFA WATCHING BAHRAIN, YEMEN

By InterAksyon MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring Bahrain and Yemen for signs the level of unrest in the two Middle Eastern countries may also require the repatriation of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) there. As of December 2009, the government put  the number of Filipinos in Bahrain at some 51,000, and those in Yemen at 2,500.
